Stormwater Inspections – State law requires the storm drains in your water system are inspected each spring and fall every year. We are experts in this and will handle it expeditiously twice a year for you. Professional Sampling Services – DEC generates a sampling schedule that is unique to your system. P2 Environmental has an in-depth working knowledge of techniques and all criteria required to perform all professional sampling services. Operations & Maintenance Manuals – Every water system should have an O&M Manual on hand so you can research any problems or questions pertaining to your system as it a arises. If you find yourself in a crisis situation with your water system, with a proper O&M Manual, you’ll be prepared to handle it and get your system back to normal operating status ASAP. Emergency & Contingency Plans – If disaster strikes your water system, these plans will ensure you are prepared to handle any situation at hand. Our Emergency and Contingency Plans were put to the highest test after Tropical Storm Irene. 100% of our affected customers had plans in place that helped each and every one of them through the disaster in good shape. Our Plans were tested and were rated among the best Emergency & Contigency Plans seen anywhere in the state of Vermont. Ground Water Monitoring - If your water system currently holds a UIC (Underground Injection Control) Permit, then you need to monitor the water quality on an ongoing basis. The monitoring wells are sampled once per year by a certified water operator who measures the groundwater depth and recharge capacity. Water System Treatment & Permitting - Does your source water meet the current Safe Drinking Water Act standards? If not, we will help you find the best method of treatment for microbial, aesthetic (color), taste and odor to ensure you meet all the standards. |
Well Head & Source Protection Plans - Both Well Head Protection (WHPP - NH) and Source Protection Plans (SPP - VT) are required by the Agency of Natural Resources to protect your water sources and prevent contamination by indirect or direct land use as well as non-point source
pollution. We will create a unique plan designed specifically for your system and its protective radius by identifying potential sources of contamination and rating their risks to your water source. By minimizing and controlling land use activities in your source protection area, you can continue to provide safe drinking water to your customers. Both NH and VT offer water systems with WHPP & SPPs Phase II and V Waivers to reduce costly sampling for Synthetic Organic, Volatile Organic and Inorganic Compounds. Leak Detection Surveys – Leaks cost money! And sometimes, lots of it. If you have leaks in your water system, water and money is soaking in to the ground. Let us locate any leaks in your system and help you tighten up and fix them for you. New Source Evaluations - If your water supply is failing in quality or quantity, we can help you locate a reliable new source, quickly and affordably. Consumer Confidence Reports (Water Quality) - CCRs are mandated by the US EPA and are due by July 1st annually. We can help you get this important information documented and released to your consumers. |
